The MJR Bucks are very confident going into the 2019 IAFL season after a very impressive 2018 season ending with a 6-3 record and playoff berth. Their focus now is adding even more talent to their team as well as prepping for the upcoming season which they plan on being contenders for the 2019 IAFL Phantom Horse Championship. What better way to start the off-season than bringing on a coach with 3 championship appearances and a championship victory? Thats just a portion of the resume(MJR Bucks new head coach) Andy Slagle holds.
Coach Slagle is a native of Elizibethton, TN but resides in Erwin, TN where he is an alumni of Walter State College with 8 years in the Tennessee National Guard as well as 11 years of Law Enforcement.
A big part of his success comes from his support system...his wife Katie Slagle and his 3 children Sammy(8yo), Rhiannon(5yo) and Carson(4yo).
Slagle has put together a very successful reputation in the minor-league football world with an overall 5 year coaching record of 45 wins and only 5 losses. Known for having very dominant teams no matter what league he is in, the Bucks look forward to the boost in knowledge and experience he will provide for the organization. He puts his team in a position to win and the Bucks will be no different.
He is very familiar with the organization as well as the story behind MJR which has motivated him to take the MJR Bucks to new heights and create a new powerhouse.
On top of his excellent coaching record, Slagle has been selected to coach 3 All-Star teams, Team USA, earned 1 Coach of the Year Award and has experience coaching Arena Football.
This is exactly what the MJR Bucks needed and the organization looks forward to the direction Slagle takes them on their journey to Chattanooga.
